Music will be provided by Daron Douglas and Karen Axelrod with calling by Gaye Fifer We’ll do English Country Dancing from 2-5pm take a break for dinner -on your own- no potluck And come back to Contra and Square Dance from 7-10
more info on admission cost next time I get in touch. Should be about the same as a regular dance.
Now - the Covid precautions
- Everyone must provide proof of full vaccination (along with a photo ID). No exceptions. Boosters are encouraged.
- Masks MUST be worn at all times, except when drinking water. We will provide straws. Surgical masks are better than cloth masks. N95, or K95 are even better
- Everyone will provide contact information after presenting vaccine credentials — email and phone number.
- There will be no snacks. There will be no potluck dinner between the dances.
- If you are SICK- DO NOT Come.
Bob says - “We know there is some risk. The covid virus is going to be with us forever from now on. We need to learn how to mitigate its effects as we do with flu and live our lives. Being vaccinated and boosted does not prevent one from getting sick, but it does lead to a significantly milder infection. Each individual needs to evaluate their own risk tolerance and decide whether to attend or not. We hope you will come and are looking forward to dancing together again.”
Also- Another Celebration Dance - in April. Steve and Renee Johnson have been married for 50 years! So they are inviting the community to a dance party featuring the calling of Darlene Underwood and Music by The Latter Day Lizards. The event will be Saturday, April 2 at CUMC, 215 N Capitol Ave in Lansing. The Dance will start at 7pm and end at 10pm
Please note the same Covid precautions will be observed at this event.
More info on this one next time.
Hope you are doing well and staying healthy. I’m enjoying the lengthening days and looking forward to spring. (and pretending that it is not going to snow this week)
Happy Dancing, Julie LW
